Patricio Guzmán

Director of the iconic 5-hour-long documentary The Battle of Chile, a film which searches with persistence the truth about the rise and fall of Salvador Allende, the Chilean documentarist, Patricio Guzmán, uses the camera with social responsibility and moral duty towards History. The publication is an introduction to his work: a section with general texts, an autobiography by the director himself with the title “What I Owe to Chris Marker”, and selected texts on the films of the tribute.
